Our Powder Coating Process
1
Pre-Treatment
This step removes contaminants like oil, grease, and rust. It is crucial to ensure proper adhesion and a flawless finish.
2
Powder Application
Our method creates an electrostatic charge that attracts the powder particles to the grounded substrate, resulting in a uniform and efficient coating.
3
Curing Process
The item is cured at high temperatures between 110 and 250 °C. During this process, the powder particles melt and fuse, forming a durable finish.
4
Inspection Process
Our certified inspectors perform multi-stage inspections and tests to ensure uniform coating distribution, excellent adhesion, and correct thickness.

Powder Coating FAQ
We stock a few standard colours, but any colour imaginable is available. It would just become a question of price and lead time.
No. Parts need to come ready to coat.
We should be able to coat any type of material that can withstand the curing oven (~400F).
Powder coating is better than paint but not as good as our other types of industrial coatings. It is primarily an aesthetic coating.
This price is derived from the surface area to be covered, the amount/type of handling required (is masking required? Is the part very heavy?), and the type of powder coating selected (basic powders are significantly less expensive to specialty colour-matched metallics, for example).
Pretty much anything. Parts need to withstand curing temperatures and fit into our oven.
Once a quotation is accepted, the customer will drop off the parts through our shipping/receiving department. Once the project is done, the customer will be notified, and pick-up details will be confirmed.
No.
Just as with any coating project through our facility, if there is an application error, we will correct it.
Our largest oven envelope is approximately 16’ x 8’ x 8’.
All pieces get sandblasted to remove rust.
It is not recommended for food prep. Trays and utensils etc, are fine.
