Reason 4 – Our Powder Coating Process

Take advantage of our expertise for your powder coating project! Our experts are here every step of the way to ensure that your items are powder-coated with excellence.

Read through our powder coating process below.

#1 Pre-Treatment

Certain items may have oil, grease or rust that can contaminate the coating process and cause flaws in the final finish. (Think stubborn motor oil and grease!) We use a chemical pre-treatment and sand-blasting treatment to remove these contaminants and ensure proper adhesion.

#2 Powder Application

Our method creates an electrostatic charge on your item that attracts the powdered particles. These powder particles are drawn to the grounded substrate and create a uniform coating in the colour and finish of your choice.

#3 Curing Process

Your item is then heated and cured at high temperatures between 110 – 250°C. The powder particles melt and fuse to the substrate, forming a durable and long-lasting finish. This step is performed in our large industrial ovens here on site.

#4 Inspection Process

This step happens once the products have properly cured and cooled down. Following our quality assurance standards, our certified inspectors perform multi-stage tests to ensure excellent adhesion, thickness and uniform coating distribution.
