The IPC Production Facility

Integrated Protective Coatings (IPC) was founded in 1978 and began with just 10 employees. In 43 years, we have grown to over 100 exceptional team members spanning two locations – our corporate headquarters and production facility in Sherwood Park (Edmonton) and a sales office in Calgary, Alberta.

One of the reasons IPC has become the best protective coating company in Western Canada is because of our state-of-the-art production facility. Equipped with a separate 10,000 ft2 sand blasting bay, we can process a variety of order sizes including both small and large volumes and weights of up to 10,000 pounds.

It’s not just the size of our facility that makes it so impressive. With top-of-the-line equipment, superior technology, and an in-house valve disassembly, reassembly, and testing team, IPC has raised the bar for protective coating production, delivering superior products for our customers every time.

Superior Equipment

At IPC, we believe in having the best equipment on deck so we can deliver a quality product that does the best job for our customers. That includes regular maintenance and upkeep to ensure that every piece of process equipment is working properly.

In addition to multiple plating tanks and high-pressure ovens, our production facility is equipped with spraying equipment, overhead cranes, forklifts, compressors, vapour degreasing tanks, and more. There is also backup equipment to ensure that production can continue on schedule while maintenance is being done.

Separate Abrasive Blasting Bays

IPC is home to the largest production facility in Western Canada with a total land area of 305 000 ft2 and separate sand blasting bays that are kept in pristine condition. With the ability to separate the abrasive blasting and adhesion process, we can prevent micro-particles from contaminating the coating process. That means your protective coating is applied seamlessly, free of dirt or dust and is ready to protect your equipment in the most corrosive environments.

In-House Valve DRT

IPC is one of the few facilities in Western Canada with an in-house valve disassembly, reassembly and testing team. While other protective coating companies have to send your valves to a third party supplier for preparation, we are able to keep them at our facilities. That means numerous benefits for customers.

When other companies have to send your valves away for processing, it adds more time to the process meaning your turnaround times are slower than if you were to choose IPC. Additionally, there is always a risk of damage while in transit. By keeping your valves at our facilities, we reduce the costs of the project overall while also returning your equipment to you sooner translating in more revenue down the road.
