5 Reasons to Choose IPC

At Integrated Protective Coatings (IPC), we pride ourselves on being an industry leader when it comes to protecting coatings. With decades of experience in the protective coatings industry, the largest facility in Western Canada, and numerous superior protective coating products, IPC is the right partner for your next project.

Still not convinced?

We break down five reasons to choose IPC.

#1 Proven Experience

IPC was founded in 1978 with just ten employees. Over the past 43 years, we have worked hard to develop a team and process that put the needs of our customers first.

Our on-site professional engineering advisors work to understand what your specific needs are. After evaluating all the factors involved, including environmental challenges, they recommend the right protective coating for your project.

Our AMPP Certified Technicians inspect all the material surfaces and prepare ready for the coating process. Our coating bay is in a separate facility which makes it the perfect environment for coating adhesion – eliminating any unwanted particles or dust that might contaminate the process.

Once your product has been coated and inspected thoroughly by our technicians, including multiple records taken, we get it ready for shipping. After your order has been delivered, we always follow up to make sure everything is working properly and your project is running smoothly.

#2 In-House DRT Team

Did you know at IPC we have developed our own in-house Valve DRT team?

That means we can disassemble, reassemble and test your valves right here in our facilities. We offer extended-duration pressure testing of ANSI Valves from 2″ – 150″ to 12″ – 300 as well as CSA Z245.15 testing and adhere to API 598 and API 6D standards.

What Does This Mean For Your Company?

While other coating companies have to send your valves out to a third-party supplier for preparation, we keep them in-house.

That means we keep your project on schedule while simultaneously reducing your handling risk and lessen the chance of damage to your cargo because it no longer needs to be transported.

Our DRT team is committed to delivering quality work and has decades of experience with valve operations and maintenance. Thanks to our highly efficient workflow, we have delivered thousands of projects on time with no disruptions, translating into more revenue for our customers.

#3 Engineering Support

At IPC, we have a team of qualified professional engineers that can assist you with the details of your next project. Our team members belong to APEGA (The Association of Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of Alberta) and AMPP (National Association of Corrosion Engineers) and have extensive experience providing coating and material recommendations for customers across a wide range of industries.

Not Sure What Protective Coating is Right For Your Service Environment?

Our on-site engineers analyze your project specifics and needs and then recommend the right coating to solve your problems of corrosion, wear, erosion and more.

Need Assistance Developing Your Processes?

Our engineering team can work with you to improve your efficiency and economics, while also providing a Quality Management System Audit that can help your organizations achieve the ISO 9001 Standard. Our on-site engineering support is one of the many things that separate IPC from our competitors.

#4 Proven Protective Coating Products

At IPC, we offer some of the best protective coatings in the business, including a comprehensive selection of high-quality products like Electroless Nickel, Fluoropolymers, and Fusion Bonded Epoxy coatings.

IPC protective coatings have been successfully applied in parts of a wide array of oilfield components that are subject to severely corrosive environments such as injection/production wells, brine service, chlorides and produced water, acid, and gas service pressures in excess of 20,000 psi and temperatures near 500 °F in the most corrosive fields in Western Canada.

We have helped hundreds of companies across dozens of industries including oil & gas, drilling, pipeline and construction, heavy equipment, manufacturing, food processing, water and municipal utilities, energy, and beyond protect their projects from the problems of corrosion, flow erosion, sand abrasion, friction, torque and more.

#5 World Class Facilities

IPC is home to the largest production facility in Western Canada. With a separate 10,000 ft² sandblasting bay that prevents dust, dirt, and micro-particles from contaminating the coating process, we can process orders of up to 10,000 lbs.

Meanwhile, our blasting facility is equipped with dust arresters and an abrasive recovery system that allows us to blast uninterrupted, meaning quick turnaround times while meeting quality demands.  We also ensure every piece of our critical process equipment has a back-up unit in case of emergency.

Why Choose IPC For Your Next Project?

The IPC Process has been tested and proven for over 43 years and our team of industry professionals know how to assist whatever project demands you are facing.

We are passionate about this industry and truly care about our customers. That’s why we follow up after your order has been completed to make sure our coating products are delivering the results you need, when you need them.
